HMD KONTRO
The CSA/CSI magnet drive end suction sealless centrifugal pumps are a modular range of chemical service pumps, designed to cover a wide duty and application base using the minimum of pump models by maximising interchangeability of components.
The range is based on a number of hydraulic sizes and fully conform to the current ASME B73.3 (CSA) or ISO 2858/15783 (CSI) dimensional, performance and construction requirements.
The range is specifically designed for maximum part interchangeability, ease of onsite service and has a wide number of site upgradable features.
The CSI range has been expanded to include additional models, providing comprehensive hydraulic coverage to support specialist chemical processing applications. With a total of 13 Frame 1 and 16 Frame 2 sizes, there is greater variation in the inlet and outlet sizes, enabling flow rates to rise to 120 m3/h and heads up to 62m.

The HPGS from HMD Kontro is a sealless magnetic drive pump for high-pressure applications and particularly suitable for use in the chemical and petrochemical industries as well as site utilities.
It is vital for accuracy when checking the density of process fluids in a high-pressure pipeline and HPGS pumps are very suitable for this. Process engineers are thus able to utilise the HPGS pump on pipeline skids in order to take out a sample of the fluid from the main product stream from where the sample is conveyed through a densitometer designed to analyse the fluid, after which it is returned to the main pipeline.
The HPGS sealless magnetic drive pump can withstand system pressures of up to 2680 psi (185 bar) and is available with 7 hydraulics. It comes with a range of synchronous magnet drives, which are rated for prime mover performance. Standard construction is stainless steel with silicon carbide internal bearings although other metallic materials are also possible.
HPGS sealless magnetic drive pumps from HMD Kontro comply with all specifications required by the oil, gas, petroleum and heavy chemical industries and this pump is typically used in toxic, aggressive, hot, crystallising and high value processes.
Flows to | 72 m³/hr (317 gpm) |
Heads to | 93 m (305 ft) |
Pressures to | 185 bar / 2,680 psi |
Temperature Range | -40 to 260°C (-40 to 500°F) |
The GS (General Service) range of pumps from HMD Kontro are versatile pumps which are designed to cover a wide range of applications using minimum pump models through maximising component interchangeability.
The range includes the GSA (ASME standard pump) and the GSI (ISO DIN standard pump) with a GSL option also available for temperatures down to -100°C (-150°F).
GS pumps are typically used in toxic, aggressive, hot, crystallising and high value processes. They are designed to comply with specifications required by the oil, gas, petroleum and heavy chemical industries.

A unique sealless magnetic drive pump for heat transfer in hot oil systems.
Isolating the pump from the heat source has always been essential in a hot oil system –until now. Thanks to its unique torque ring, the CS pump from HMD Kontro requires no cooling fluids or heat exchangers during operation. The pump is totally self venting and the magnetic coupling is immersed in the hot oil. Not only that, but the torque ring design offers a built-in soft start for viscous liquids, and the energy created adds to the efficiency of the system.
Simple to operate and maintain, cost-effective to run and capable of operating up to 842°F without cooling –all this makes the Sundyne HMD Kontro CS pump the ideal choice.
The heavy duty line of chemical service sealless magnetic drive, end suction centrifugal pumps complies with specifications required by the oil, gas, petroleum and heavy chemical industries. The CS is typically used in toxic, aggressive, hot, crystallizing and high value processes.
