Type SE58 – Transmitters for electromagnetic inductive flow sensors.

Description:

The Type SE58 transmitter (in S, M or L version) associated with the electromagnetic flow sensor (in compact or remote version) Type S051, S054, S055 or S056 is recommended for applications with a minimum conductivity of 5 μS/cm. SE58S: This variant of transmitter can only be used to build a compact version of a flowmeter, with or without a display. It is characterized by small external dimensions and: – for a version without display, by a case and a cover in black painted aluminum or stainless steel, – for a version with display, by a black painted aluminum or stainless steel case and by a plastic cover. The display is integrated in the lid. Flow and totalizer values are displayed simultaneously, as well as symbols for device status and alarms. The flow measurement can be transferred by a digital output or an analog output. The achievable uncertainty is 0.5% of the measured value. The device cannot be improved with the addition of input/output signals and functionalities such as dosing. SE58 M and SE58 L: These variants of transmitters, with painted aluminum, plastic or stainless steel housing, are available to build a compact or remote version of a flowmeter, with or without a display. It is possible to add input/output signals and to have all the functionalities, for example dosing (only SE58 L) and data logger. The human-machine interface (HMI), comprising the display and the control keys, allows the choice of flexible data presentations, the carrying out of complete settings and the configuration of the device. The L version is characterized by superior performance as shown by the low uncertainty of 0.2% of the measured value compared to 0.4% (option) and 0.8% with the M version.

Exceptional repeatability and high accuracy over a wide range of viscosities and flowrates are features of this design. The low pressure drop and high pressure rating make it suitable for gravity and pump (in-line) applications and many others. All sensors provide Open Collector NPN frequency output and frequency output on Reed contact via 1-meter 5-wire cable.

Features:
  • For highly viscous fluids
  • Value indication, monitoring, transmitting, On/Off control and batch control in combination with different transmitters.

Type 8098 – FLOWave SAW flowmeter.

Description:

The Type 8098 flowmeter is part of the FLOWave product range. It is based on SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) technology and is mainly designed for applications with the highest hygienic demands. This is achieved by using: suitable stainless steel materials, a measuring tube free of any wetted parts except for the actual tube, the ideal outer hygienic design. FLOWave offers a range of integrated functions, including the advantages of flexibility, ease of cleaning, compact dimensions, lightweight, easy installation and handling, and is compliant with numerous standards. Optimal measurement results can be achieved with homogeneous liquids, free of air and solid particles. For liquids with high viscosity, an integrated viscosity compensation can be activated. Gas and steam cannot be measured; however, their flow does not have any negative effect on the device or its operation and other liquids flowing through afterwards are measured correctly as before. Beside volume flow, a density measurement optional feature is available. With this option, the mass flow is calculated based on volume flow and density measurements. Special functions derived from further process values (differentiation factor (DF), acoustic transmission factor) offer additional information about the particular liquid in use (for details, see data sheet).

Features:
  • No obstacles inside the measuring tube, compact, lightweight and low energy consumption
  • Conforms to hygienic requirements, CIP/SIP compatible
  • Ideal for liquids with low or no conductivity
  • Digital communication, parameterisation via Communicator, display
  • Optional: ATEX/IECEx certification, II 3G/D.
